Abstract
The National Institutes of Health is the steward for behavioral
and medical research for the United States. This mission is accomplished
through active intramural and extramural research activities.
The outside facade of extramural research might be familiar to
university scientists, but what goes on inside the NIH, and particular
within the Center for Scientific Review to make the extramural
program successful? This discussion will be a glimpse into the
function and structure of the Center for Scientific Review.
